Learning how to properly steward our health can increase our usefulness and effectiveness in service for God's kingdom and for His glory. With that in mind, we desire to help you learn to take good care of the temple of the Holy Spirit.
On Saturday, June 8th we will hold our first "Live Well" sessions in the CLC Fellowship Room.
The first session begins at 11 AM and will be taught by Pamela Proulx, Registered Physical Therapist. She will teach on basic back care, involving strategies to prevent pain and injuries and also share ways to manage current back pain and injuries.
Lunch will be served between sessions. Your preferred lunch option can be selected on the registration form (see form below).
After lunch, the second session will be taught by Linda Alston, RN, BSN, MEd. Linda has taught at AIC in the BSN program for 20 years; Community Focused Nursing. She is also a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the Army Nurse Corps.
Linda will focus her teaching on healthy sleep habits, explaining how a good night's sleep supports health, well-being, and safety.
Attendees will learn:
- What happens during sleep
- The importance of sleep
- How aging changes your sleep
- Ways to improve your sleep
- Types of sleep problems
